Beta Terms
1. Who the beta is for
While SOC Binder is in private beta, a new organization needs an invitation. You ask on the sign-up page; we read every request ourselves and email an invitation when there is room. An invitation works once, only for the address it was sent to, and for 14 days. Joining a team that is already using SOC Binder needs no beta invitation.
2. What it costs
Nothing for 90 days, counted from the first time anyone in your organization signs in, not from the day the invitation was sent. From 15 days before the end, owners and admins see the end date on every page.
After that, as a founding customer, you get 50% off your first paid year, on any plan, at the prices on our Pricing page on the day you joined — the price is locked for you even if it goes up later. The discount is recorded against your organization, so it stays with you when the beta ends for everybody else.
Nothing is charged without notice. We will tell you before the end of the beta what happens next, and you will never be charged without first choosing a plan and entering a card yourself. If you do not choose one, nothing is deleted: after a further 14 days you can still sign in, read and export everything, but cannot add new connections or uploads until you do. If we have not yet switched payment on when your beta ends, everything keeps working until we have been in touch.
3. What the beta is, and is not
It is the product we sell, in use by a small number of companies while we finish it. It is not a promise of availability: there is no service-level agreement, features may change, and something may break. We fix what breaks quickly and tell you if it affected your data.
SOC Binder gathers and keeps evidence; it does not issue an audit opinion. Your auditor still does the audit.
4. Your data
Your evidence is yours throughout. You can export it at any time, during the beta and after it ends, whether or not you go on to pay, and an auditor link you have issued keeps working.
If you decide not to continue, email support@socbinder.com and we will delete your organization’s data on request, from the live service within 30 days, as our Privacy Policy describes. The same applies to a request to join that you no longer want us to keep.
5. Feedback
Feedback is welcome, and most of what we build next comes from it. Reply to any email from us. As the Terms of Service say, we may use suggestions without obligation to you.
